Michael Halbrook

Michael Halbrook is a lifelong Granite Citizen - born and raised here, graduated from Granite City High School, and back for good since marrying his wife Suzanne, also a GCHS alum. They are raising their four boys in the same community where they both grew up.

When he is not telling local stories, Michael serves as a deacon at St. Elizabeth Parish, where he has been assigned since his ordination. He is also a writer and content creator with projects spanning faith, technology, and storytelling.

Granite Citizen is his attempt to give back to a place that shaped him - by making sure its stories get told.
